I have used Samsung android phone, and am presently using sony Xperia acro s HD so-03d running on ICS. I have noticed one annoying thing about the android stock SMS app. First off, When you are writing an SMS and once the SMS gets to 160 characters, your phone will pop up a message saying text limit reached and you wouldn’t be able to write further. Secondly, one which is more rampant is when your stock SMS application will automatically convert your SMS to MMS immediately you exceed 160 characters. Take a back seat as I teach you how to solve 160 characters SMS limit.

MMS success will depend on your APN settings from your carrier currently, confirmed working on GSM carriers in the US, and should work on most carriers.
For startup speed issues, be sure to check the option in advanced settings for “run as background service”.
If you are having problems receiving notifications, you may need to uninstall 3rd party messengers such as Go SMS.
When using this app, do not disable the stock messaging app as I use it to permanently save messages to the phone. You can, however, disable notifications for it so that you don’t receive 2 of them
